In the event that a website is compromised, the attacker will not be able to see or access any other content outside the website folder, so all the rest of the Internet sites in the account will be protected and will remain intact. Using the JailHost option doesn't replace doing routine script updates or using complex passwords, but it'll minimize any damage to your Internet sites significantly, so you'll have to fix only one website and not all of them.
JailHost in Shared Web Hosting
If you host your Internet sites in a shared web hosting account from our company, you'll be able to protect them by using the JailHost feature with just a few clicks in your Hepsia Control Panel. The option is accessible with all packages and can be enabled for any folder since the domains and subdomains in Hepsia have individual folders, so files for different Internet sites don't get mixed up as it quite often happens with other Control Panels. We haven't activated JailHost by default as you might use scripts which require access to folders outside the main site folder and this option can interfere with their proper operation, but protecting all the other folders is very easy. If a protected site gets hacked for some reason, we can recover it in a short time as we'll have multiple daily backups of your entire account and you will even be able to view the available backups from Hepsia.
JailHost in Semi-dedicated Servers
Our semi-dedicated server solutions come with JailHost provided by default. This option is not enabled automatically when you add a domain as you may want to use a certain script that accesses several folders in the account, yet you'll be able to activate it effortlessly through your Hepsia Control Panel and protect the rest of your websites with just a few clicks. Hepsia is much better to use for people who have multiple Internet sites since it keeps them in separate folders and does not keep the files for several sites in the same folder as it often happens with various other Control Panels. This allows us to offer JailHost as all of the folders can be isolated from one another. In case that any one of your websites gets hacked, we will quickly restore it using the multiple daily backup copies which we'll keep and in the mean time the attacker won't be able to do further damage as the access to your other sites will be blocked.
